Subjective assessment of the environmental behavior of subsoil users of the Arctic zone (on the example of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia))

The paper presents the results of a study of the subjective assessment by the inhabitants of the Arctic zone of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) of the ecological situation and the ecological behavior of subsoil users of the territory. Based on the survey of the population of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) “Subjective assessment of well-being and quality of life”, an analysis of the responses of residents of the Arctic regions of the republic was carried out. The latter made it possible to identify their overall assessment of the environmental situation, government measures and programs in the field of ecology, activities and environmental damage of subsoil users leading activities in the Arctic regions. The results of the survey indicate the support by the population of state measures in the field of environmental preservation and revealed the detrimental effect of subsoil users on the environment in the course of their improper execution of legislative norms and rules in the field of environmental protection. The results obtained can be applied in the development of program documents and in the work of management bodies.
