Adhering to the ecological theory of perception of J. Gibson, the author concludes that the “capabilities space" as a fundamental property of subjective cognitive act is limited, and, therefore, the speculative nature of social discourse is inevitable. The paper presents a theoretical study of what personal existential conditions, prevailing in the mass consciousness, can influence the success of political decisions and the achievement of stability in a society with their help. The relevance of this question seems to be obvious, due to the increased openness of communication and attempts to manipulate the public opinion.
