Subjective factors affecting professional formation of humanists

In the introduction the author analyses a person’s motivational structure, motives of choice and training in a profession among students of humanitarian specialities and compare humanists with students of technical specialities. Based on the results of the comparison the author comes to the point, that subjective factors, such as interests, skills, temperament etc. are more responsible for the choice of the profession by humanists and objective factors, such as salary, social eminence etc. are more responsible for the choice by technical students. The author observe, that the acquisition of knowledge is a more important factor for technical specialties to study at the university, and the factor of mastering the profession and obtaining a diploma is more typical for students of humanitarian specialties. The author describes the actual situation in the humanitarian educational sector and defines the professional development of humanists. In the ending the author characterizes successfulstudents like mentally resilient, overactive, optimists, independent, self-reliant etc. Summarizing the results of this study, we can say, that humanists require more internal motivators to overcome the learning difficulties. As the main conclusion of this article, we note that the success and effectiveness of the process of professional formation of humanists is largely determined by the personal qualities of the student.
