The article analyses the condition of parks and green zones of Volgograd. The results of the survey of the population in order to determine fair value of the lands of recreational purpose are displayed. The results of the population's survey in order to assess fair value of lands or recreational use are shown. The conclusion about a low cadastre cost of lands of recreational use is made. The method of travel cost is described and the calculation of the cost of the land plot occupied by a central park is given.
