Language contact studies help to reveale the essence of multidimensional phenomenon of bilingualism. Emergence and intensive development of new linguistic technologies are one of the most striking features of modern linguistics; we witness revision and reevaluation of many old paradigms and linguistic values. Bilingualism is one of those values which demands great attention, it is associated with an intermediate system - interlanguage. Interlanguage is in a state of intermediate competence between native and studied languages, and reflects the cognitive ability of a person while studying a non-native language. The author proposes a method which activates the knowledge of both native and studied languages on the material of two contacting language systems: Chinese and Russian.
