The destiny of quotations from Christian sources in the book “The life of Arseniev. Youth” by I.A. Bunin

The author's actualization of literary, biblical, patristic quotations in the Life of Arseniev by Bunin is considered in the article. When comparing manuscripts and versions of printed text, the creative nature of this process is obvious. Reproduction of "someone else's" text from memory is due to the genre nature of "The Life of Arseniev," where citation is associated with a memory.
