Forensic accounting expertise in Russia: historical aspect

Since the XIX century and up to the present time, the Institute of forensic accounting expertise has been continuously improving, consistently passing through various organizational, methodological and applied stages of its development. The article describes the process and systematizes the stages of the formation of forensic accounting expertise in Russia from the perspective of subjects of expert activity. An analytical review of approaches to systematization of the origins of this institute is also presented.
