Legal costs and the procedure for their recovery in criminal cases in light of the guiding explanations of the Plenum of the Supreme Court of the RSFSR (USSR) in the second half of the 20th century

The article examines individual issues related to judicial (procedural) costs and the procedure for collecting them in criminal cases according to the guiding explanations of the Plenums of the Supreme Court of the RSFSR (USSR) in the second half of the twentieth century. The author subjects them to a comprehensive analysis and constructive criticism, taking into account the current state of Russian criminal procedure legislation. At the same time, the emphasis is placed on the fact that the chronology of the formation and development of the institution under consideration to a certain extent predetermined the proclamation in the state and legal policy of the Russian Federation in the field of combating crime of such a cornerstone principle as the reimbursement of costs of criminal proceedings.
