Suggestive proper names in contemporary German literary discourse

The purpose of this article is to consider the problems of literary onomastics and to describe the pragmatic potential of suggestive proper names in modern German literary texts. The focus of attention is on speaking, allusive (embodied) and onomatopoeic proper names used by the author to characterize the characters and to form the author's idiostyle.
