Suicide as a destruction of modern society

The paper examines one of the key problems of modern society: the destructive nature of the suicide phenomenon. Suicide is a self-destructive action, the destructive potential of which contributes to the nation's self-degenerescence in the conditions of modern Russia. Personal factors determine the reasons for this act, once mental processes arising in the mind of the self-murderer make the prevailing circumstances hopeless. The consequence of this situation is self-inflicted death. In this aspect, it is extremely important to consider a similar problem from the point of view of criminal law in conjunction with criminology. This approach is due to the fact that suicide is a particularly dangerous act due to the increasing statistical trend towards the reproduction of such acts among young people. The behaviour in question jeopardises the national security of the state.
