In 2013, in the south of the Tyumen region (Western Siberia), including Tyumen, registered suicide attempts in 1487 - 108.2 per 100,000 population (2012 - 1374 attempts; 104.9 per 100,000 population). Thus, the number of suicide attempts in 2013 increased by 7.6%. Marked increase was due to the rural areas, which is associated with an increase in the quality of reception and strengthened measures to prevent undercounting. Directly in Tyumen in 2013 made 849 suicide attempts - 131.6 per 100,000 population (in 2012 - 932, 143.4 per 100,000 population), i.e. a decrease in the number of attempts by 8.9%. Most risk suicide category - this working age - 18-29 (36.6%) and 30-39 (29.6%) years. A positive aspect is the reduction of 26.5% in the number of attempts among child and adolescent population. The ways of suicide: poisoning - 59.1%; self-cuts - 33,7%.
