The problem of tobacco smoking in Russian Federation continues to remain a matter of concern of the medical community, despite a noticeable reduction of spread of smoking among young people thanks to promotion of healthy lifestyle. Smoking is studied as an absolute risk factor for somatic pathology, however, recently of increasing interest is a probable relationship between tobacco smoking and personal autoaggressiveness. Some works note a positive correlation between intense smoking and suicidal behavior, but these assessments are mostly retrospective. This fact impedes qualification of the role of smoking. In view of the above, a study and comparison of autoaggressive characteristics of groups of smoking and non-smoking young people were carried out. Aim. To study statistically significant differences in the autoaggressive profile between groups of smoking and non-smoking young males and females.
