Farmers widely use gear and disc harrows, chisel cultivators, breakers and other levelers to prepare the land for spring sowing. In order to ensure quality preparation of lands for sowing at the level of agro-technical requirements, it is important to adjust the machines and the correct use of aggregates based on them. Today, it is important to improve the level of the land, to carry out quality leveling work and to create a high-efficiency leveling unit for this work. Modernization of equipment used in the current leveling of farmland is aimed at improving the quality of work of base levelers, the dependence of tractor-machine units on productivity, reducing fuel consumption and improving the quality of work. The solution to such problems is determined by the working quality of the machines used in preparing the land for planting, the depth of tillage, the flatness of the field surface, the quality and density of soil compaction and the degree of weed loss. In fields prepared for sowing, the average depth of tillage is ± 1 cm from the level set by the agronomist. The size of the seedbed layer should not exceed 25 mm. The amount of soil particles smaller than is at least 80 percent, the size is 50 mm. There should be no lumps larger than 1 cm, the density of the treated layer should be in the range of 1.1– 1.2 cm3, and weeds should be completely eliminated.
