The article sets out the criteria for a significant change in circumstances when changing (terminating) the contract. The author considers the conditions necessary for classifying the circumstances as essential. In addition, the actual problems of the application by the participants of civil turnover of the institution of a significant change in circumstances during the termination and modification of the contract are analyzed.
