The article considers the existing approaches and experiences of independent intramural knowledge and competence testing in various academic disciplines implemented in the Academy of basic educational programs of higher education. The features of network program "Tests" were pointed and integrated into the user program Lotus Notes. The summarized results of independent intramural testing marked positive aspects and shortcomings, recommendations for improvement of this type of activity.
