The essence and content of the law enforcement function of the state

The issue of the functions of the state at any stage of its development is one of the most important in the general theory of the state, since it is in them that the essence and social purpose of the state as a political organization of society is manifested. The article is focused to the investigation of the law enforcement function as one of the traditionally allocated functions of the state aimed at determining the place and role of the state in matters of ensuring the security of the interests of society and the individual. The paper also analyzes the correlation of the concepts “law enforcement function”, “law enforcement agencies” and “law enforcement activities”.
