Essence and types of regional development resources

The article is about the characterization of the essence and the allocation of possible types of resources for the development of regions. The study examines the etymology of the word "resource", defines the features of the resource as an economic category. The author considers the evolution of the concept of production factors, identifies the types of resources for regional development: labor (human potential), land (natural resources), capital (previously produced goods), entrepreneurial ability and information. The article identifies possible approaches to grouping regional development resources.
