The essence of the educational support of social adaptation of foreign servicemen at the Russian military higher school

The process of educational support is fundamentally different from the processes of bringing up and training. Its main special feature is the auxiliary nature, which is shown in the accompanying of any other process, supporting it with necessary resources. The educational support of social adaptation of foreign servicemen in the Russian military higher school is an organized activity of students aimed at the creating of favorable conditions for successful adaptation of foreign servicemen to the new socio-cultural and educational environment, adoption of new social values. The author focuses on the multi-subject nature of this educational process, which causes the three levels of its organization and implementation. Strategic level includes setting of a general goal, strategic objectives and key areas of the educational support activities, defined by the senior commanders and the academic council of the military higher school. Concretization of goals, development of programs and methodology of the educational support are carried out by the representatives of special departments and courses on the second - the tactical level. The final, operational level includes implementation of the developed programs, execution of activities, as well as analysis and reflection of the results. The educational support is also of a subject-subject nature due to the pro-active attitude of a foreign student, who is to display independence and involvement in the said process. Organization of joint activities of those, who provide the educational support, and those, who receive it, should consider the fact that in order to achieve social adaptation it is necessary to use the tactics of cooperation, implying the relationship “on equal terms".
