Essence of professionally-oriented training economic translation on language departments of higher education institutions

This article deals with the essence of professionally-oriented training of economic translation on language departments of higher education institutions. The author opened specifics of professionally oriented training. Various approaches to training (communicative, culturological, learner-centered, pragmatist, cognitive and text-centered approaches) are considered and analysed as well. As a result of the carried-out analysis the conclusion is drawn on importance of these approaches in development of the students’ lexical stock, in formation of their professional communication skills and in stimulation of their cognitive thinking.
