The article deals with one of the most urgent problems of the contemporary national education system, associated with the development of professional competence of Bachelors of Pedagogy in the conditions of multicultural environment. On the basis of the theoretical analysis of the studies concerned with the teachers’ professional competence formation, the author specifies the essence of the concept of “professional competence of Bachelors of Pedagogy in the field of gender education of preschool age children" and distinguishes the backbone components in its structure: psychological and sociocultural competences.
