The essence of the shadow economy

The paper presents the negative and positive aspects of the shadow economy. The investigation of the sector made it possible to distinguish two main methods that allow to reveal incomes and expenditures and the level of the shadow housekeeper. The main indicators for 2013-2016, characterizing the incomes of the population of the Republic of Dagestan are given. The task is to reduce the subsidy of the republic.
