The conditions of stability and efficiency of society are characterized, first of all, by the state of the economy and protection from challenges and threats to financial security. The purpose of the study is to examine the essence of challenges and threats to financial security in the modern world. The analysis of classifications is carried out, as well as current challenges and threats to Russia's financial security are identified. The conclusion is made about the degree of danger of the identified challenges and threats to financial security.
