Light and colour of creation: symbolism of the original modalities of culture

The study of "light" and "colour" in their combination as the original modalities of culture on the material of mythological imagery and semantics of precious stones is presented. The emphasis is placed on the situational metaphor of "flickering", a red thread running through the ideas of the beginning and end of the world in different cultures.
