Does the increased frequency of heterozygotes on genes of pigs blood groups suggest about heterosis on viability?

The authors presented the results of statistical analysis of the phenotypes segregation in progeny of cross-bred pigs (Large White x Miniature Svetlogorskaya) on alleles of different systems of blood groups. With the purpose of estimation of monospecificity of immunogenetic reagents to erythrocytes antigens the incidents of increased frequency of heterozygotes on alleles of systems of F, G, J and L blood groups were analyzed. The model was proposed, which reflects the discrepancy between real phenotypes and «simulated» by divalency reagent. It was shown, that heterosis observed with divalency serum evaluating by raise of concentration of single antigens and leads to excess of heterozygotes of corresponding alleles. The authors propose to carry out the adequate statistical analysis of cross-bred results before to draw a conclusion about increased viability of heterozygotes on genes of immunogenetic markers.
