The article provides historical and theological analysis of the compatibility of the religious and philosophical worldview of His Holiness Patriarch Tikhon (Bellavin) with the views of Archpriest Sergei Bulgakov. Based on a critical study of historical and philosophical research and documents on the topic of spiritual revival of a person who lost faith, an attempt is made to systematically analyze the topic under study. The following issues are considered: St. Patriarch Tikhon and his legacy; St. Patriarch Tikhon’s contemporaries, such as Archpriest Sergei Bulgakov; special attention is given to the problem of spiritual rebirth (regeneration) of a person in Russian religious philosophy through the prism of the views of St. Patriarch Tikhon and Archpriest Sergei Bulgakov. The novelty of the work lies in the fact that for the first time some philosophical and religious issues are considered in the context of this problem or have not been duly developed in Russian and foreign historical and religious science. The conclusion is that with regard to the issues under consideration, the religious- philosophical path of St. Patriarch Tikhon and Archpriest Sergei Bulgakov is common.
