Relationship between temperamental characteristics, professional burnout and psychological well-being of representatives of engineering and technical professions

The article is concerned with the problem of correlations between temperament characteristics, psychological well-being and professional burnout among representatives of engineering and technical professions (construction industry specialists). As a result of the empirical study, it was established a significant positive correlation between neuroticism as a temperamental property, symptoms of professional burnout and psychological ill-being. There was no connection between extraversion and indicators of burnout and psychological ill-being. There are no significant differences in indicators of psychological well-being between extroverts and introverts. The study is exploratory in nature and is preparatory for larger-scale studies of psychological well-being and personality traits.
