Free economic zones as a tool to stimulate the economic development of the Russian Federation

The article considers free economic zones as a tool for stimulating the economic development of Russia. Even though such zones initially had a bad reputation, since 2005 Russia began to use them to attract investment. As a result, by 2022, 43 economic zones operate in Russia, bringing in 2005-2021 almost 1,5 trillion rubles.
