Properties of a ceramic shell of hard and semi-dry pressing on the basis of low-quality activated raw material

In the Siberian Federal District ceramic brick is a popular building material. The lack of high-quality clay raw materials suggests a transition to the production of semi-dry pressing products. The advantages of the technology of rigid formation are also considered. The absence of highly plastic clay raw materials, which is necessary as an additive when using this technology, could not be replaced by local rock activated by the shock wave method. The optimal composition of the charge and technological parameters for obtaining products of semi-dry pressing from the local clay rock of the Berdskoye deposit are selected. To obtain defect-free produc, it is recommended to introduce 10 wt. % diabase dust - waste collected in cyclones (Gorny settlement, NSO).
