The article describes an image compression automated by using the multilayer perceptron. It presents the algorithm of an image compression. Analysis of different structures shows the dependency of compression quality from the number of hidden layers and number of neurons. The article presents the research results of image compression and defines an optimal structure of the neural network for the compression problem.
