Tajik language island. On the example of the Uzbek region Surkhandarya

The following article is devoted to the Tajik language as the language of the Tajik minority in the Uzbek province of Surkhandarya as an island language. First, we will talk about the term “language island”, its properties and requirements for continued existence. Subsequently, the Tajik language is analyzed as an island language and further development trends are noted.
