Secret of the word “impossible” (to philological commentary of I.F. Annensky's poem “Impossible”)

The philological commentary of I.F. Annensky’s poem “Impossible” is executed by means of the analysis of graphic potential of such conceptually significant unit as “impossible”. The study and characterization of a sound number of elements in the poem facilitated in advancing philological commentary of the poem. Such stylistic methods of strengthening sound expressiveness of the speech as alliteration, research of semantic importance of such poetic nonce word as “the white is disturbing”, the value and constructive role of the oxymoron “impossible is possible” allowed us to specify the content of the concept “poetic hypnosis” initially introduced into philological space by I.F. Annensky.
