Secrecy in criminal proceedings

The article deals with the important legal concept of "secrecy", which is associated with various aspects of human life and society (adoption secret, medical secret, state secret, commercial secret, etc.). Considering this concept from different points of view (linguistic, mythological-religious, philosophical and legal), the author comes conclusions about the difference between these approaches, gives her own definition of secrecy. Based on the analysis of the criminal law theory, the classification of secrets used in criminal proceedings is revealed, and the articles of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation regulating the issues of criminal law protection of various types of secrets are identified.
