The article considers the types of principles of criminal procedural law and their interrelation. Among the principles of criminal procedural law, the principle of secrecy of correspondence, telephone conversations, postal, telegraph and other communications is considered. The secrecy of correspondence, telephone conversations, postal, telegraph and other communications is included in the category of basic constitutional rights and freedoms of a citizen and is protected by law. The article is aimed at analyzing the legal mechanisms for protecting the constitutional right of citizens to private correspondence, telephone conversations, postal, telegraph and other communications. The author offers the results of scientific research to researchers, teachers, graduate students interested in the theoretical concepts of secrecy in criminal proceedings.
