Taxonomic structure of the phytoplankton of the Bezenchuk river (Saratov reservoir basin)

The taxonomic structure of the algal flora of the plankton of the small river Bezenchuk is considered. 240 species and intraspecific taxa of algae from 8 divisions are determined, Chlorophyta (35% of the species composition) and Bacillariophyta (24%) prevail, Euglenophyta (13%) and Cyanoprokaryota (11%) are in third place. The algal flora of the river is distinguished by its taxonomic richness and diversity. Planktonic cosmopolitan forms of algae prevail, preferring fresh neutral and slightly alkaline waters. A taxonomic list is given.
