Tactical features of organizing and conducting a search, evidentiary value of its results

This article analyzes a search as one of the key investigative actions in Russian criminal proceedings. The main problems that reduce the effectiveness of its implementation are considered, including planning errors and organizational and tactical shortcomings. Particular attention is paid to the issues of the evidentiary value of the search results; based on current judicial practice, typical procedural violations are examined, which, among other things, entail the recognition of the obtained evidence as inadmissible.
