Tactical peculiarities of carrying out operational and search measures when disclosure of theft of vehicles that caused damage on a particular size committed as part of organized groups

The author considers the tactical features of the implementation of operational-search measures in the detection of thefts of vehicles that caused damage on an especially large scale, committed as part of organized groups. In order to determine the tactical features of operational-search activities, the statistics of thefts of vehicles in Russia were given, as well as the definition of theft of vehicles. The tactical features of such activities as interviewing the victim, examining the scene of the incident and other territories relevant to the investigation of the type of crime in question, making inquiries and other operational-search activities were also analyzed. The problems that may influence the tactics of operational-search activities in the detection of thefts of vehicles that caused damage on an especially large scale, committed as part of organized groups, are identified. Materials and methods: the normative basis of the study is formed by the operational-search legislation, legislative acts regulating the issues of ensuring the detection of thefts of motor vehicles. The methodological basis of the study was the general dialectical method of scientific knowledge, which is universal in nature, as well as cognitive methods of generalization and description, methods of observation, comparison and analysis. The Results of the study: made it possible to formulate proposals aimed at improving the methodology for detecting theft of vehicles that caused damage on an especially large scale, committed as part of organized groups. Fingdings and Conclusions: the analysis of the current legislation in the area under consideration indicates the need to make proposals aimed at improving the legal regulation of public relations in this area, for their streamlining, development in accordance with public needs.
