Management of intensive therapy of general peritonitis in children

In the presented work the results of treatment of 161 children at the age from 6 months till 15 years with generalized peritonitis are summarized. All patients were treated in the Intensive Care Unit of Pediatric Surgery Clinic. Based on obtained results authors concluded that proposed complex approach to intensive therapy of general peritonitis by children (effective antibacterial and infusion therapy, parenteral and enteral nutrition, endolimphatic therapy) makes possible a rapid recovery and significant decrease of mortality.
