Epatage tactics as the means of provocative self-promotion in «star» interviews

This article analyzes the phenomenon of epatage in provocative self-promotion. The functional approach as the research methodology of epatage is offered and three mutually complementary theories are considered: the theory of deviant behaviour, the concept of identity crisis and the game theory. The main purpose of the work is to review the lexical-semantic means of implementation of epatage tactics in the text of «star» interviews.
