Customs affairs of the Trans-Baikal region in domestic historiography

The article studies the scientific coverage of the history of customs affairs in the territory of Trans-Baikal region. The author considers and describes the stages of historiography development. It is concluded that the regional peculiarities of customs operations have been studied insufficiently. The author believes that study of the regional development of customs is essential for the historical science, since it complements theoretical representation of the customs development in the periphery regions of the Russian Federation.
