Customs as a smart city component

The article discusses topical issues of the development of customs and logistics infrastructure within the framework of the concept of "smart city". The process of digitalization in the customs and logistics complex is assessed as a resource saving tool in the supply chains passing through St. Petersburg, as a large export center. The article considers the improvement of the organization of digital interaction between customs authorities, participants in foreign economic activity and other participants in transportation in order to improve the quality of the provision of customs services, reduce the load in supply chains, and reduce business costs.
