In the article historical and ethnographic and folklore materials of XIX - XXth centuries highlighting the original culture of the Mordovian ethnos are considered. The author is first to analyze pre - and post-revolutionary bibliography from the point of view of establishment of esthetic border between natural (native) and physiological (visual) habitat of the person. In this context about "plastically moving" and "plastically speaking" Mordovian performers, traditional texts cease to have purely descriptive ethnographic character and gain value as a phenomenon which the author of research calls "portrait visualization".

Dance, plastic "speech" statement, visualization of nonverbal text, image, manner, "volume", "relief", rhythm and punctuation, spatial organization of composition, plot (game), plasticity, dancing, "invoice"
