Theatre of puppets in M. de Gelderod's early dramaturgy

The article is devoted to poetics of this theatre and has defined the features of his characters' system which the playwriter considered as the puppets, identifying himself with the puppeteer. The features of time and space in his dramas are considered as categories conditional, determining borders of his fantastic, unreal world and they are defined a dominant of the comic beginning in his dramaturgy.
