Theater and museum communications in modern culture: integrativity and synthesis

This article examines the problem of developing and applying various forms of theater and museum communications, as well as their place in modern culture. Addressing this issue is relevant, as integration of various cultural institutions is currently taking place everywhere; in addition, theaters and museums are looking for new ways to increase their demand among visitors, and such forms of communication contribute to this. The novelty of this scientific work lies in considering museum and theater communication activities as a separate and very important area of innovation and creative search, during which new forms of cooperation arise both between cultural institutions and between their visitors of different ages. The article sets and solves the problems of identifying the most popular today forms of joint theatrical and museum activities, analyzes the results of their interaction on the examples of successful domestic museums. The methodological basis of the research is the reliance on the structural-typological method and the method of comparative analysis, as well as general theoretical methods of synthesis, classification and generalization. To summarize, the author proposes a conclusion about the effectiveness of the results of the integration of theatrical and museum forms discussed in the article, which give rise to new genres presented in project formats in contemporary culture as a performance in a museum, a museum role-playing game and a theatricalized quest.
