At the end of the twentieth century, humanity entered a stage of development that was called the post-industrial or information society. But the judgment "We live in the age of information and communication" is not quite true, because both information and communication have always been. Throughout the millennia of history, human society has accumulated knowledge and improved ways to store and process information. First, writing was distributed, then the printing press, telephone, and television. With the entry of society into the age of computer technology, it became possible to process and present it more effectively. This made it possible to efficiently store and process large flows of information. But at the present stage of development of information culture of society, knowledge becomes outdated very quickly, and a person is forced to "learn all his life". The vast amount of knowledge accumulated by mankind makes us look for other approaches to the organization of the learning process.

Literary information: according to the educational standard of basic General education in a foreign language, teaching English has two main goals:

  • -    development of foreign language communicative competence, which implies the development of speech, language, socio-cultural, compensatory, educational and cognitive competencies;

  • -    development and education of the ability and readiness for independent and continuous learning of the English language:

  • a)    further self-education using English in other fields of knowledge;

  • b)    developing the ability to self-esteem by observing your own speech in your native and English languages;

  • C) personal self-determination of students in relation to their future profession;

  • d) formation of a citizen and patriot.

These goals can be achieved if all groups of educational technologies are used:

  • -    technologies of explanatory and illustrative education, which are based on informing, educating students and organizing their reproductive actions in order to develop their General educational skills;

  • -    personal-oriented learning technologies that create conditions for ensuring students ' own learning activities, taking into account and developing individual characteristics of students;

  • -    technologies of developing learning, which focus on the method of learning that contributes to the inclusion of internal mechanisms of personal development of students, their intellectual abilities.

Exercises are still the leading means to achieve the main goal of teaching a foreign language - the formation of a communicative person who is able to ask questions, Express their opinions, tell about events in the past, present or future, in other words, a person who is able to communicate. Now there is a question of raising the level of education, which has led to the use of new active teaching methods.

In teaching English, as in any other field, information and communication technologies have become widely used. Information and communication technologies-a means of developing the motivation of educational activities in the classroom. Also, the use of information and communication technologies in the educational process contributes to the development of cognitive activity and the achievement of the main goals of teaching the subject, activating the cognitive activity of students, stimulates and develops thinking and memory. In English lessons, such technologies allow students to master communication and speech skills in an interesting way: listening, reading, writing and speaking, and to consolidate the material passed in an unusual form.

It should be noted that the development of these skills fully meets the requirements of the modern educational standard for foreign languages. This means that the introduction of educational Internet resources in the process of teaching a foreign language (along with printed publications) contributes to the achievement of the main goals of teaching English in secondary schools.

Multimedia presentations created using the MS PowerPoint program are firmly integrated into the educational process of the school. Quite often, we conduct our lessons using presentations.

Multimedia presentation of foreign language material is a way to present creatively processed by the teacher, adapted for a certain age of students, language information in the form of a logically complete set of slides on a specific lexical and grammatical topic. It is based on the use of audio-visual capabilities of computer technologies.

Summarizing the experience, we can conclude that the use of information and communication technologies in English lessons and extracurricular activities:

  • -    helps to increase the motivation of students and activate their speechthinking activity;

  • -    makes it possible to rationally organize the cognitive activities of students during the educational process;

  • -    improves the quality of material assimilation;

  • -    allows you to individualize the learning process;

  • -    speeds up the learning process;

  • -    activates all types of memory, which significantly affects the effectiveness of the learning process.

The use of information technologies in combination with knowledge and skills in the field of foreign languages allows students to get an idea of the realities of the current economic and social situation in the country and the world, contributes to successful social adaptation, which is very important in our difficult times.

The teacher should not stop there. It must constantly develop, engage in selfeducation, so that the knowledge received by students meets the requirements of modern society and education, including. Information and communication technologies offer great opportunities to teachers who are looking for additional resources to solve their professional tasks.

Conclusion: all of the above technologies are not used in isolation. There is an active process of their integration. Integrated learning technology is fundamental in English lessons. Integrated lessons do not differ from traditional lessons in types and forms. These are lessons in the formation of skills and abilities, lessons in their development, lessons in their application in practice, and lessons in control and verification. The difference is that all types and forms of integrated lessons imply a fairly large information block on the lesson itself or independent work on solving a problem. Based on my experience, I can say that the study of material in small blocks does not lead to the formation of a system of knowledge.

The process of conscious, deep learning of the material slows down. Integrated learning technology makes the process of learning English more effective. Here, this technology is implemented through the use of various methods and forms of work. Before proceeding to their description, I want to note that my main task as a teacher, I see in teaching children the ability to independently obtain the necessary information, analyze the knowledge obtained and apply it to solve new problems. To do this, I use several methods described below.
