Technical parameters (baseline data) affecting the outcome of a criminal crash case

The aim of the paper is to investigate the problem of applying technical parameters as input data in the appointment of auto-technical examinations in cases of road accidents. The legal and formal-legal methods were used in the article. Attention is paid to the problems of investigative and expert practice. The article, having serious practical value, gives a substantiation of necessity of determination of proper technical parameters by an investigation and by the court, on the basis of which the expert auto technician during examination selects coefficients and parameters necessary for calculations. It is emphasised that the values of the coefficients and parameters should be chosen taking into account the recommendations developed in expert practice.
