Deliberative opinion poll: innovation or adaptation (RUDN university experience)

The technique of deliberative opinion poll has a long history of development. However, domestic science does not pay as much attention to this phenomenon as foreign science, and correct interpretations of the concept are not always given. The article aims to introduce readers to the experience of sociologists from the RUDN University (in close cooperation with the President of the RUDN Filippov V.M.), who conducted surveys using the technique of deliberative opinion poll and showed how to make managerial decisions based on them. The case concerning the pilot project for admission to enlarged groups of specialties and training programs is described in detail; the procedures for the implementation of the study, a guide and brief results are given. As a result, the algorithm of using this technique in the academic environment is described, when it is necessary to make specific managerial decisions related to a topic, on which the public opinion of the target audience is not formed due to low awareness. The technique of deliberative opinion poll is a successful consensus of public opinion and managers' desire to work out the optimal solution, including models for the dissemination of deliberated opinion among employees.
