Feasibility study of the choice of means for reduction of oil products losses from evaporation

In the article the main direction of increasing the efficiency of operation of technological machines and equipment of oil and gas supply is the reduction of oil and oil products losses at refineries, oil depots and during transportation. Annual losses during pumping and storage of oil and petroleum products are high and amount to about 9% of annual production. At the same time, as a result of evaporation from oil, mainly the lightest components, which are the main raw materials for petrochemical production, are lost. Losses of light fractions of gasoline lead to deterioration of marketable qualities, lowering of octane number, increase of boiling point, and sometimes to transfer of oil product into lower grades.
