Technological features of energy business adaptation to low-carbon global economy

Бесплатный доступ

The article discusses the main directions of adaptation of the energy business to the scenarios of market development in a low-carbon trend, due to the need to solve a number of global technical and technological problems. The main problems are related to the physico-chemical properties of hydrogen used as fuel, which affect the methods of its generation, storage, transportation and use. A comparative computational and theoretical analysis of the influence of physicochemical features on the storage and transportation conditions of hydrogen in relation to methane and other gases is carried out. Based on the analysis of technical and technological solutions used in the oil and gas sector and R&D in the use of low-carbon fuels, the main directions of implementation of projects to reduce greenhouse gas emissions within the framework of Climate Policy in relation to Scopes 1 and 2 are highlighted, promising areas related to the transition to hydrogen energy are also highlighted.
