We conducted the research in 2014-2018 at the fields of V.S. Pustovoit All-Russian Research Institute of Oil Crops. The aim of the research is to study the characteristics of the technology of selection and evaluation during the breeders seed growing of confectionery sunflower variety SPK. During the growth season, we conducted phenological observations and biometric measurements in accordance with the standard technique for breeding and seed growing (Pustovoit, 1967). We determined the oil content of seeds by the method of nuclear magnetic resonance on an AMB-1006 M NMR-analyzer in accordance with All-Union State Standard 8.620-2006, the thousand-seed weight - in accordance with All-Union State Standard 12042-80. We used average, maximum and minimum value of characteristics, determination of the variability range and coefficient of variation as variability indicators.
