Technological forecasting. Methodology of technological forecasting on the example of late-generation microprocessors with a forecast

Russian research in the field of technology forecasting in most cases uses the Foresight method, which is not a forecasting tool, although it is based on some forecasting methods, is more a method of popular science journalism than a really important statistical observation. In this article, the author talks about the methods of technological forecasting, different from the Foresight method with an example based on microprocessors. The paper will demonstrate the results of a study of the latest generation of microprocessors, and a forecast for further development will be made. The prediction was carried out using the Gompertz curve.
